How is product liability regulated at BTB?

Product liability at BTB is regulated according to German law. Almost all items offered on our website btb-elektronik.de, including all our social media channels, were placed on the market in the European Union before 13.12.2024. All newer products naturally contain all necessary information regarding the Product Liability Act. Information for all items concerning the period before 13.12.2024 is being added step by step, if this has not already been done. Should this information nevertheless be missing for an item, we are of course responsible ourselves. Our contact details can be found in the legal notice at www.btb-elektronik.de. Most of our products therefore do not fall under the new EU regulation, but under the previously applicable provisions of product liability legislation. Unless statutory exclusions apply, for example according to the preamble of the Product Liability Act, the items offered comply with these requirements.

Regardless of this, the additional information required for new offers has already been added consistently for all items in our range.

For purchased branded goods, the respective manufacturer is of course indicated. For items where no identifiable manufacturer still exists, where the original manufacturer is no longer available, or for goods imported from third countries, labeling is carried out in accordance with legal requirements as the responsible provider, or quasi-manufacturer.

Work on voltages above protective extra-low voltage DIN EN 61140 may only be carried out by appropriately qualified specialists.
