Where can I find suitable replacement tubes for ENGL high-gain guitar amps?

For ENGL guitar amps, suitable and robust tubes for high-gain applications are especially important. This applies in particular to classics such as Fireball, Powerball, Savage, Invader or Ironball, which ENGL itself clearly positions in the rock and metal sector. For heavy metal, 12AX7 / ECC83 high-gain preamp tubes are especially interesting when a lot of gain, pressure and stable performance are required. In the power stage, depending on the model, 5881 or EL34 also play an important role. Suitable 5881 S4GB and 12AX7GB High Gain are therefore a very good choice for many ENGL amps. Many of these types are also available from BTB in selected quality and, on request, matched.
